To download and use the BitPay app on your Android device, you'll need to be using Android 11 or higher. This is not only a requirement on the Google Play Store but also for the security of your device and cryptocurrency stored within the app.
BitPay Support cannot assist users experiencing issues or bugs using an old version of the app.
Here are a few reasons to use the latest operating system on your Android device:
- Security: Updates provide security patches to protect your device from data breaches, ransomware, and spyware. Older devices may not receive security updates, creating potential vulnerabilities.
- Bugs: Updates fix app bugs and issues
- Features: Updates include new features and compatibility upgrades that improve your user experience.
- Performance: Updates can improve your device's performance and functionality.
