Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using the BitPay Personal Dashboard

1. Download an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, on your Android or iOS device
2. Log in to bitpay.com
3. Select your name and email address in the top right, then select Settings
4. On the Settings page, select Security
5. Under Two-Factor Authentication, select Enable
6. Open your authentication app and use your camera to scan the QR code
7. Type in the 6-digit code in the Google Authentication app

Success! 2FA has now been added to your account login. Please keep in mind that you will need the code from the authentication app every time you log in.

Generating Backup Codes

1. Log in to bitpay.com
2. Select your name and email address in the top right, then select Settings
3. On the Settings page, select Security
4. Backup Codes under Two-Factor Authentication.
5. Enter the code from the authentication app and then select Generate Codes.

6. Select Generate codes. You will now see a list of codes and an option to print them for safekeeping in case you lose access to your authentication app.
