BitPay Invoices support wallet payments using Payment Protocol (BIP-70), WalletConnect, and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) transactions.
Payment Protocol enabled wallets (such as the BitPay Wallet) autofill invoice details in the payment wallet by scanning the QR code, copying and pasting the payment URL, or selecting Pay in Wallet.

WalletConnect enables users to pair their web3 wallet using a QR code. When initiating a BitPay Invoice payment, a transaction request is sent to the payment wallet requiring approval. Once the transaction has been manually approved, all that's left is to wait for blockchain confirmation. Link to a full list of compatible WalletConnect web3 wallets.
If making a P2P wallet payment, you can copy and paste the payment address and the amount due. If the exact amount due is not sent or paid outside of 15 minutes invoice acceptance, the payment could be rejected and require a refund.
BitPay suggests using a wallet that supports Payment Protocol. Payment Protocol ensures the cryptocurrency you send is exactly the right amount and includes a high enough fee to confirm your transaction. This helps reduce costly time-consuming payment errors.
