Before deleting your wallet, be aware that BitPay does not store any of your wallet keys. If you do not have your 12 word recovery phrase, there is no way to recover the funds.
Please ensure that you have your 12 word recovery phrases in a safe place before deleting your wallet.
A wallet key can contain one or more wallets that share the same key.
Deleting a wallet key will delete all the wallets within that key.
To delete a wallet key:
- Open the BitPay App.
- Click the gear icon in the tabs bar (bottom).
- Scroll down until the Crypto Wallets & Keys section.
- Click the wallet key you want to delete.
- Click Delete (last option on the bottom).
- Click Delete and OK.
To delete a specific wallet within a wallet key:
Technically speaking, a wallet within a key cannot be deleted, but it can be hidden. Hiding the wallet means it will not be shown on the home screen:
- Open the BitPay App.
- Click the gear icon in the tabs bar (bottom).
- Scroll down to the Crypto Wallets & Keys section.
- Click the wallet key which contains the wallet you want to delete.
- Select the wallet.
- Toggle the Hide Wallet switch.
