When importing your wallet and experiencing an error, it is usually related to a typo in your seed or 12-word recovery phrase. If you're experiencing an invalid backup error or unable to locate wallet error, here are a few things to double-check.
- Are you sure that the recovery phrase was written in the correct order?
- Did you use all lowercase letters?
- Was there a single space between each word and no commas?
- Confirm all 12 words are in the list of possible words. Non-English language words.
We also recommend you use the most recent version of the BitPay app before importing.
