If your native currency is not on the list of available currencies, you will need to receive 100% of your settlement in cryptocurrency. We currently offer settlements in Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Gemini USD (GUSD), Paxos (PAX) or USD Coin by CENTRE (USDC). See below to add a cryptocurrency address to your BitPay account for cryptocurrency settlement.
To receive settlement in cryptocurrency, you will need a receiving address for that currency. To get a receiving address, you will need to create either a wallet, or an account on an exchange. You will use this address by pasting it into your BitPay merchant dashboard.
To change your settlement options, go to https://bitpay.com/dashboard/settings. Then click the Settlement tab at the top of the screen, then click Edit next to the CRYPTOCURRENCY ADDRESS field. You will need to select the currency, and input the receiving address you previously generated from your wallet or exchange. After you finish, make sure to press the Save button at the bottom. You will then receive an email notification asking to confirm your settlement preference changes. Follow the instructions in the email notification you receive from our system to confirm.
After you receive settlement from BitPay, you can use a cryptocurrency exchange to convert your funds into another currency. Exchange fees are generally less than 1%.
We're constantly working to expand settlement options and our supported national currencies. Check out our list of supported currencies for which we offer direct deposit.
