How do I connect my Coinbase account to the BitPay App?

Coinbase is a bitcoin exchange service that can be paired with the BitPay app. Since Coinbase provides this exchange service, BitPay is not able to offer direct support for Coinbase's service.

After Coinbase approves your account, you can link your BitPay app to your Coinbase account. This allows you to buy and sell bitcoin from Coinbase with your BitPay app directly.

Below is the process for connecting your Coinbase account to the BitPay app:

Step 1: Open the BitPay app

Step 2: Click the gear icon near the bottom right corner of the screen

Step 3a: Click Coinbase under the Exchanges section

Step 3b: Click “Show” to toggle on if it is currently toggled off.

Step 4: Click the home icon on the bottom left side of the screen

Step 5: Click the Services button under the home menu, then the Coinbase button on the next page

Step 6: Click Connect Coinbase Account

Step 7: Sign into Coinbase by following the instructions on the page, as well as on any emails related to set up, 2FA, or device authorization.

Step 8: Once you’ve signed in and authorized connection with  your coinbase account in the BitPay Wallet, you’ll be able to buy and sell cryptocurrency directly from the BitPay Wallet app using this integration!
