If you did not initiate the changes that occurred, BitPay sends email confirmation links for password changes and other account updates. If your account settings were updated without your knowledge, both your BitPay and email accounts have been compromised.
Then we suggest you take the following steps as soon as possible.
- Login to your BitPay account.
- Check the account settings, particularly settlement info for BitPay merchants and recent transactions for BitPay Cardholders
- Reset your password.
- Enable Two Factor Authentication (2FA).
- Also take steps to secure your email account, such as resetting your password and enabling 2FA.
Once you have completed the steps above, please submit a request via the support form from the email address associated with your account. Our Customer Success Team will help you change the email address associated to your account.
