Your new BitPay merchant account application is subject to review to verify that your business follows our Terms of Service. This process is usually completed within a few hours, but it can take 1-3 business days. If you have not received an approval email after 3 business days, please email compliance@bitpay.com from the email associated with your application.
If invoices are disabled on your merchant account, you will likely receive an email from compliance@bitpay.com requesting information about your business. Please respond to the request so that we can review your account.
For certain industries, BitPay requires a minimum tier to process payments. How do I raise my approved processing volume tier limit?
Applications for an increase in daily sales volume will be reviewed within 2-4 business days. After this time, we will let you know whether we have approved your upgrade or if we need more information. If you have not received a status update after 4 business days, please email compliance@bitpay.com.
