Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments are electronic payments that allow an account holder to pull funds directly from their checking account. ACH debits are typically used for paying bills and other recurring payments.
You can initiate an ACH debit by providing the account and routing number of your BitPay Card account to the service that will be making the debit. In most cases, you can complete this process on an online or paper form.
You can find your account and routing numbers under the Direct Deposit tab at: https://bitpay.com/card/dashboard.
When completing an ACH debit, keep in mind the following:
- Request that the ACH debit be initiated from your Metropolitan Commercial Bank account, not from your BitPay Debit Card.
- Ensure the account you are sending funds to is under the same first and last name as the name on your BitPay Card. You cannot send an ACH transfer to someone else’s account.
Each institution maintains its own policies and regulations regarding ACH transfers. Please consult with the receiving institution before sending your funds.
Reminder: ACH debit includes a fee of $5.00.
